CBI arrests four in Ludhiana including FCI’s manager, technical assistants & others in bribery case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended four accused including Manager (Quality) & two technical assistant (TA) of FCI, Mullanpur Dhaka, Ludhiana (Punjab), and a private person in a case related to acceptance of Rs. 50,000 bribe from the complainant.

A case was registered on May 21st 2024  by CBI against Manager (Quality) and a Technical Assistant (TA), of FCI, Mullanpur Dhaka, Ludhiana (Punjab) on allegations that said accused  Manager (Quality) and TA demanded a bribe of Rs.1,05,000 (Rs.3000 per truck) from the complainant  in lieu of passing consignments of his rice mill.

CBI laid a trap and caught said Manager (Quality) & two Technical Assistant of FCI and a private person during the trap proceedings related to acceptance of Rs. 50,000 bribe from the  complainant. Searches were conducted at five locations at residential and official premises of the accused during which incriminating documents have been recovered, investigation is continuing.
