Ludhiana's prestigious Lodhi Club which is well known for promoting and encouraging social, cultural and intellectual activities among its members on Friday organised a special program to mark India's 75th independence day. According to a statement released by the Club, "On the Auspicious occasion of 75th Republic Day a Prestigious flag hoisting Ceremony and blood donation camp was organized by Lodhi Club, in association with Computer Entrepreneur and Punjab Jeep Club and Rehras Sewa Society on Friday, 26th January, 2024 from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm in club Premises" Statement further said, " The National Flag was unfurled by CA Nitin Mahajan (General Secretary) , Ajay Mehta (Joint Secretary) , Nishit Singhania (Cultural Secretary), Ram Sharma (Sports Secretary) CA Vishal Garg (Finance Secretary), Er. Harinder Singh (Mess Secretary), Jyoti Grover (Bar Secretary), Ritu Chandna (Lady Executive Member) were present on this occasion. Gurpreet Singh, Gurpreet Singh Sunny, Satpal Singh, (ACE Executive Body Members) and Rajeev Khanna, Vinayak Khanna, Umesh Gupta (Punjab Jeep Club) and Sukhminder Singh Kairon (President-Rehras Sewa Society) were also present on this occasion. The National Flag was unfurled with Rose Petals showering in the sky followed by playing of National Anthem" The Executive Committee Members, Club Members and the Staff Members of the Club also paid their respect to the national pride and honor to the Tricolor. Thereafter, the Blood Donation Camp Started at 10:00 am and continued till 04:00 pm. A Team of Doctors from Civil Hospital were present during the camp to ensure the safety of Donors. Many first timers including Club Members enthusiastically donated blood and more than 150 No’s of Volunteers donated blood for a noble cause. Ram Sharma, Sports Secretary and Jyoti Grover, Bar Secretary from the Executive Committee also donated Blood. Refreshment and appreciation certificates were given to the donors and this camp helped in getting awareness about their social responsibilities and showed enthusiastic participation for the same
