On Tuesday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi filed his nomination for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Top leaders from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its alliance partners, including BJP chief JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma were also seen coming out with PM Modi from the venue of nomination filing in Varanasi. A day prior to his nomination filing a six kilometer long roadshow was also organised in Varanasi in which saw participation of huge number of people.
In another development today, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, the BJP candidate from the Mandi constituency (Himachal Pradesh) also filed her nomination for the Lok Sabha elections. She was accompanied by her mother, Asha Ranaut, her sister, Rangoli Chandel, ex CM of Himachal Jairam Thakur amongst others.
